About this collection

Between 2014 and 2018, various nations are commemorating one hundred years since the First World War through exhibitions, cultural heritage sites, events, documentaries, and original dramas to share and understand the meaning of the war and its impact on society today. The Ladies' Field, a British society magazine published c. 1890-c.1930, reveals what might have been important to a particular set of British women in the middle of the war, with a particular emphasis on the response to the sinking of the Lusitania.
